When life hands us lemons, our spirit holds the power to turn them into refreshing lemonade, transforming challenges into growth. 

We can choose to rise above the sting of their acidity and create something brighter, stronger, and more hopeful from what was meant to hold us back.

“We have a client, LANTO SINUS, for whom we do Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) work, they bring a powerful mindset and a genuine desire to create something truly useful that helps people,” Dr. Lee Ching Lew, ProBionic’s Managing Director shared.

According to Dr Lee Ching, this company was founded by brothers who have been searching for a solution to Sinusitis. 

Over the years, they have faced repeated frustrations, as the inflammation keeps returning despite their efforts, leaving them feeling very distressed.



In their search for alternatives, they read many online articles and community discussions. 

“Some communities shared homeopathic or folk remedies, including using kimchi juice and other substances applied inside the nose,” she said. 

“Sometimes these methods seemed to help, but the results were inconsistent—occasionally working, often not, and sometimes having no effect at all.”

Curious about why kimchi juice might help, the brothers began investigating the science behind it. 

Through reading scientific papers, they learned about the role of the microbiome and identified a specific bacterium, Lactobacillus Sakei (L. Sakei), as a possible key factor. 

Their research led them to discover that Probionic was selling a pure L. Sakei product. 

“At that time, this product was marketed only for use in treating Atopic dermatitis (Eczema),” Dr Lee Ching explained. “The brothers contacted us and requested a few bottles, hoping it might offer a more reliable solution to their recurring problem.”

“They began simply, wanting to test it for themselves. They tried it, felt the difference, and shared it with friends and family.”

“At first, they bought 100 bottles. Then the orders kept growing.”

Soon, they were dreaming bigger. The brothers said, “We want our own brand.” 

This product carried a Korean label, they realized they could buy it and sell it under their own name. Before long, they were moving several thousand bottles a month. 

Through one person’s belief, the product reached many people across the United States. Many of them experienced real relief. 

“They spoke to doctors, and the doctors were amazed by the results,” Dr Lee Ching added. 

"Curious, they searched online and discovered that this wasn’t backed by formal studies or treatments yet."

So he approached LANTO SINUS and asked, “We need to do a clinical trial. Will you collaborate?” 

And that’s how it all began.

“Our entire mission is to help people escape the misery of sinus infection, and that mission has led us all the way to a Phase II (Efficacy and Side Effects) of our investigational drug trial. We didn’t start with a grand, ambitious vision,” she exclaimed. 

“Instead, clinicians and patients, who then become health educators and true believers in the product, have steadily driven this effort forward—step by step.”

“I believe with all my heart that it will succeed, because a quiet yet unified momentum carries it—driven by real people, real stories, and forces we never expected but deeply appreciate.”
